The CDIM Awards for Excellence are designed to recognize outstanding contributions by CDIM members in three specific categories:
- Educational programs.
- Educational research.
- Service to CDIM.
Award nominations are distributed in November. The CDIM Nominating Committee reviews the nominations and selects the award recipients. The committee’s decisions are final. Those nominees who do not receive an award will be considered as a candidate in the following year with a letter of resubmission from the nominator. Please note that members of the Nominating Committee are not eligible to receive awards during their tenure on the committee; and all three awards may not be presented every year.
In 2007, a fourth award was added to the CDIM Awards for Excellence recognizing CDIM associate members for their contributions to CDIM. The CDIM Clerkship Administrator Award Committee reviews the nominations and selects a recipient.
Award winners will be notified prior to the registration deadline for the CDIM National Meeting and will be honored at the meeting by the presentation of a plaque. CDIM will waive the meeting registration fee for award recipients in the year in which the award is received.
