Faculty in departments of internal medicine at medical schools and teaching hospitals provide a significant amount of the primary, tertiary, and quaternary care delivered in the United States. AAIM commits itself to enhancing the quality and accessibility of clinical care delivered by academic internists through identifying best practices and educating alliance members about advances in related fields.
